Fly Me To The Moon

We were sitting at the same table that we always sat at – where we had some privacy, but could hear and see the band well. The silence was a companionable one, as we sipped our drinks and allowed the music to flow around us.

Lovely jazz – soft jazz, smooth jazz, dance jazz – they mixed it up in just the right proportions, so that it fed our souls without either boring us, or becoming overwhelming.

A little respite from life, these lovely nights out. Of course we had to return to life at the end of the evening, but the interlude was a breath of fresh air. How long could we continue doing this? Who knows. All I kow is that for now, this is what we need to do.
