I remember sitting there, watching this interview. It took place on the island of St. Maarten, in early spring. Quite a spring that was … time seemed to be standing still, and all we had to do was enjoy it. And so we did … we watched the races, we toured the island, we made plans for the future. That was when we thought there would be a future, of course.
Two weeks later, and I was back in the big city. Life took on a more hectic pace. I don’t remember how it happened, but here I am, watching them place roses on my coffin.
