The chandelier is shining brightly in the dining room. The table is set,and the guests are about to arrive. It is on these nights that I feel less than a ghost. I smile, I move from guest to guest, encouraging conversation and laughter. Oh, the laughter! It has been years since laughter was a consistent guest in my home. Tonight I will bring out the wine, and we will toast to the future. We will admire the view, and talk about our world.
In the morning, it will all seem like a dream. And I am a ghost moving softly through that dream.
