Tea Time

Tea Time

Tea time … what a lovely concept. I remember the afternoon teas that my mother used to host. Of course, that was a lifetime ago. Everyone was dressed formally … the women in lovely dresses, the men in suits. There was soft music in the background, and the maid brought out fragrant tea for my mother to pour. There were plates of finger sandwiches, along with beautiful petit four’s and dark chocolate. I would watch from the top of the stairs, fascinated by the laughter and conversation.

Sadly, this is something that we are missing in our current world.
