Day Lilies

Day Lilies

They don’t have a clue. One day we just “appear”, and we start to hear remarks about “How pretty! They must have been seeded by the birds!”  Now, it is true that we are allies with the feathered people. However, that does not mean that we are propagated by random seed droppings. We show our feathered friends where we want to be, and they put us there. We quietly put down roots, and flower in bright colors to quiet any thoughts that the human race might have about us. We send out roots, and we multiple. We sit there quietly, and we listen.
